One of the two main characters in Necroholic: She is the most skilled, most powerful necromancer, who has her own land, a castle, and an undead army to protect it. Once, she was ambitious and passionate, riding in the front of her units as a leader, fighting under the red sun to protect her land from invaders. And when she finally gathered a large enough army, she went on a campaign to fulfill her dream, and explore the world outside of her known territory. But the campaign ended up in a catastrophic failure: she lost her entire army, and explored nothing but death and danger. Devastated by the loss, she returned to her castle, and sealed her land with a cold fog that lets no living being in or out. Years passing, this lack of life and loneliness begin to consume her, spiraling into complete hopelessness. Until one day, a misterious rider appeared at her castle...
-Vivien in her visual design, originally was very simple: a long, black haired woman with a gothic dress, and maybe a book hanging on her side, containing spells. I still don't want anything too extreme-fantasy-like designs, as I want to add some sort of feeling of realism with such rather simple clothes. However, I wanted something more detailed and interesting, and tried to add more tribalistic elements such as bones and leather, referring to the origins of necromancy. She holds a sword in the image, as I always imagined her being capable of sword fighting if she rans out of mana energy. I didn't do a good job at illustrating the pistol holder as well on the other side, that she could also use as weapon in dire situations. The blue thing in her left hand is called the "cold fire", the visual manifestation of necromancy powers. The blood around her dripping into the air from upside-down when she performs a ritual, as it would come alive and try to connect with her.
