Dead Sun illustration - The Illusionist Creature

It was born from an idea to have the protagonist start to suffer from horrific hallucinations, without understanding what causing it. Seeing his partner committing terrible actions, attacking him, dying - was that real or an illusion? It turns out, they were caused by a half-advena, half-artificial creature that stalks him, and being able to hack into his mind, affecting what he sees in some unknown way. The creature's real body is very hard to see and understand, but the clearest image you can get is a body with eyes and claws resembling to the ones of a praying mantis. Concealing his body, makes this creature a tough opponent to defeat, while making his prey see even more illusions during the fight.
