He enters into the story as a new unit member coming from the Daytime-region, and the leaders speaks highly of him, as he proven himself on the battlefield, and he has good skills to talk himself into the unit he wants to be in. But the main reason the leaders easily agreed on letting him into their main unit, is because of his areal motion scanning ability. It is built inside Mark’s brain and vision. He is also a highly skilled soldier, fighting just like his human allies. He prefers to cover during the fights, and uses ranged weapons mostly, but he also has a single-bladed sword to defend himself in melee combat.
