Dead Sun - 7K's sword and rifle

Zachary's two main weapons, that he switches between during the fight. He mostly uses the sword, and only using the gun to weaken the enemy's armor, or to deal a finishing blow. These weapons were provided for the deadly Unit 7K, back on Earth, used in the Last War between humanity. Now these weapons had traveled through space with him to the new planet, and this time, used against terrifying alien creatures. The sword has a red, thin line of laser running along its edge, enabling the sword to melt through anything if kept being pressed against the surface. The rifle is a secondary option, to deal damage to enemies too far away, or too tall to be reached by sword. The rifle shoots only one bullet at a time, as one is powerful enough to deal significant damage. After the shot, the gun needs some time to prepare the next bullet. - This way, every shot needs to count, and no misses are allowed, as the special bullets are rare to find.
