Dead Sun - Eon - an Eyeballl Planet

A concept art illustrating the tidally locked planet where the story takes place. This is the closest planet that humanity choose to escape to as the Sun started dying and heating up Earth. The planet is based on an actual exo-planet that exists in real life, located within the Trappist solar system. But since the individual planets within this system doesn't have a name, only a code name such as "1e", humanity in the story decided to name the planet Eon, and name its dwarf star as the Red Sun.
The planet 1e does not look like this based on illustrations by other artists. But when I heard about eyeball planets - tidally-locked planets which resembles and eyeball -, I decided to illustrate the planet as such, to give it a sort of unique and scary look.
