Dead Sun - Advena with Shield

A design made for a shield, used by the aliens in Dead Sun. I never thought of them using shields at all during writing the story, but later I realized these enemies needs some variety and some of them might be smart and use a shield during combat. But these intelligent beings doesn't like carrying big and heavy equipment around all the time, so they implement their advanced folding technology and make it come out of a smaller device. If it was a video game, the player would have to keep hitting the red light in the middle of ( or at other points as well like top and bottom ) of the shield, to be able to break it.
